What should the output voltage be on a ballast resistor with 12 volts input? This is a .9 ohm ballast resistor. Thanks.

I am not an electrical engineer, by any means. But I think It would depend on the rest of the circuit?
Without current flow, there would be no voltage drop and the voltage would be the same as input.
If this was the ONLY voltage drop in the circuit, the voltage would be zero.
If it is a complex circuit, we would have to apply Kirchhoff's voltage law. (and Ohm's Law)
Kirchhoff's voltage law says that the sum of all voltage drops, in a circuit, will equal the source voltage. Therefore, in a simple circuit, the voltage drop will equal the source voltage.
12-12=0
As I said, I am not an electrical engineer. And, this is only MY understanding.
