Raditor fan starts late and Keeps overheating was created by general4email
I have 2008 Chrysler town and country 3.8L . The raditor fan starts late and Keeps overheating. I changed the resistor, thermostat and fixed some leaks, but still I the raditor fan starts late and Keeps overheating.

I need your help to fix that issue .

The fan starts when gauge exceed the half، and stop on the half.

But before months ago, the gauge lower the half, and never reached the half.

By the way, on the road while I drive it, the temperature gauge is lower the half.

Dash board temperature gauges aren't really gauges any more they indicate what the instrument panel computer wants you to see. After a about 3 miles or less even in cold weather it should go on to "N" and stay there only when stopped in heavy traffic should it rise to just above "N" and the fan start on slow speed.

Only way to check if everything is working normally is to connect an OBD scantool that reads live data and graph the temperature in normal driving
