Is this fuel injector current ramp enough to call a bad injector. I haven’t done any disassembly yet it’s misfiring on cylinder 2 here’s a screenshot of the scope
I’ll zoom in on it when I’m back working on it. Came from a pay here car lot. Has new coil in cylinder 2 and 4 new plugs in all cylinders. Did relative compression test it was okay
That's enough for me. I dunno why, but it's always the injectors under the intake on that engine that fail. About 50% of the time, the same injector appears to be wet with fuel.
I’ve never seen an injector fail on this vintage of fusion.9 out of 10 times it’s a coil. Well atleast it has 2 new coils and all new plugs from the buy here pay here lot. With 2 broke plenum bolts.

Oh coils are still tops on the list of suspects! :lol: But I've seen this a few times now on 3.0's and 3.5's, so I just started ramping them as a matter of course.
It's a good practise to zoom in into the injector voltage and current to spot the actual pintle movement. Without any movement you found the problem. If there is movement you can compare the actual opening time to a known good/working cylinder. The actual opening time is defined by the pintle hump in the current trace - injector opening - up to the pintle hump in the voltage trace - injector closing.
An expert is someone who knows each time more on each time less, until he finally knows absolutely everything about absolutely nothing.
